Dr Kartini Rahmat is a Radiology Consultant, Professor at the Department of Biomedical Imaging, University of Malaya, Malaysia, and currently serves as the Vice President of MyRad/COR. She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Malaya and subsequently obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR), UK. She furthered her subspecialty training in Breast and Diagnostic Neuroradiology at Royal Perth Hospital (2008) and University Malaya Medical Centre, followed by an advanced neuro-MRI clinical observership program at Queen Square Hospital, UK (2016).

Dr Kartini actively participates in research studies and clinical trials in neuroimaging, oncology, and cancer radiomics, currently serving as the Head of the UM Research Imaging Centre. Her recent breast research focuses on breast radiomics (BREOMICS), digital breast tomosynthesis, automated breast ultrasound (ABUS), and MRI screening for high-risk women with dense breasts. Her interests also include assessing breast cancer risk factors to educate women on lifestyle interventions for risk reduction. Additionally, she is actively involved in clinical research collaborations spanning neuro-oncology, degenerative diseases, epilepsy, and dementia.
